I recorded this in February 2021, when I was home schooling my kids and deep in longterm Covid quarantine with an immunocompromised child. I was a full time professional doula before and during the early pandemic, and that was my final push toward becoming a midwife. I think I had to walk through the fires of hell a little before I was ready to make that step. I listened to the Trio album with Dolly, Emmylou, and Linda a lot that winter, and they were some of my closest friends in that season. Rest in peace, Dolly. Thanks for being part of that last little push. I applied to midwifery school at this same time period.
