Folks, do yourself a favor. Get more than one roof quote.
I've been looking at estimates this week that were $4,000, $6,000, $8,000, and even over $13,000 higher than mine.
Maybe they've got reasons. Maybe they don't.
All I'm saying is don't write a check until you've talked to more than one roofer.
I've been roofing for over 35 years, and I still believe a fair roof at a fair price is the way to do business.

TRUE FACTS...
There’s two types of roofers out there:
The ones who sell you a roof no matter what
The ones who actually inspect it
Just looked at a roof insurance says needs replacing…
It doesn’t.
Still has life left. Years.
But some guys would jump all over that job without saying a word.
That ain’t me.
I don’t need to rip people off to stay busy.
So let me ask you…
Would you want a roofer who makes money…
or one who tells you the truth even if he doesn’t?

I want to thank everyone who reached out about helping Roger out . The support has been incredible. I just want to give an update.
We drove by around 1pm Friday afternoon and Roger was up there with his buddy. He had his drip edge on, fascia finished, and was down to his last few rows.
We’re glad we could help get it corrected and water tight,
now he gets the honor of finishing his own roof.
Respect to that man.

Monday we were driving home and noticed a roof being done. Maybe a bundle was on and nobody around. As a roofer you think hmm who would do only a bundle or 2.
Drove by on Tuesday and seen maybe first 4 feet done not quite all the way across maybe 1 square done .
Told my guys probably a homeowner doing what he can. Probably older with how much is done .
Wednesday we get done an hour early heading home same route we drive by home and see the home owner on the roof. An older man 70-75 maybe . We turn around and ask the man if he wants help. With a confused look on his face I say you want some ice and water up there ? And sometimes shingles? He says yes! I said come on down here we got this for you buddy. He says id like to stay up here .
So Steve Recore II , Spagheddie Schenkel and Jason Brown layed 5 square in about an hour. He tried to hand money and we said no. We didn't stop to charge we stopped to help you out. I do not usually pat myself on the back but once in a while we go above and beyond. I love the guys I work with . And Roger you take care sir!

Let me guess…
Your roof’s “fine”… right?
Yeah…
Just like your check engine light is “fine”…
and that noise your truck’s been making for 6 months is “fine” too
You got shingles flapping in the wind like they’re trying to leave the property…
Got a bucket in your living room like it’s part of the décor…
But nah… we’re good. We’re gonna “ride it out”
Here’s how this goes

Then one good storm rolls through Maine…
And now you’re not calling me for a repair
you’re calling me while your ceiling is dripping like a coffee maker
And suddenly that $300 fix
turned into a “why is this gonna cost me 12 grand?” conversation

I’m not saying you need a new roof.
But if your shingles look like they’ve been through 3 divorces and a custody battle…
It might be time to at least have someone look at it 😂

So we were working in Jackson N.H. some years ago. When traveling I would pick hotels,motels that needed roof work, would give us a shot at doing the roof. I got quote q few roofs this way. But anyway
This particular place and particular night will always make me smile ,laugh or what not .
So there we are 5 of us staying at Perry's motel/cottages. I've stayed a few times , the owners were nice and of India decent. Well we went out for dinner at the 99 I believe, we had a few drinks and of course my buddy Danny Greene (RIP) got beer to bring back. So smoking and having a few drinks, being loud roofers and not caring. It was off season mid October so not another soul in the place. 10 -10:30 im beat and go to sleep. Next morning I hear this pounding at the next door where the rest of the crew was. It isn't stopping, I peak out my window and its the owner pounding on the wall, and window, yelling in her language. My eyes focus and someone went around to every cottage and room after I fell asleep and triple stacked all the green lawn chairs from the door of the other guys all the way out to middle of parking lot. There had to be 50 or 60 chairs. Oh man ill never forget her yelling , me and Danny rolling on the ground. I tell the owner to get the f**k back inside , nothing broken , no big deal we will take care of it. At same time Esko was climbing out the window cuz he couldnt open the door. Man I miss some of the days and some of the people.
Esko was there great friend of mine (RIP buddy)
Danny the culprit was there (RIP buddy)
Cousin Keith was there (RIP buddy)
And 1 more guy can't remember but man I have had some fun in life. I got stories for days if I could remember them all!
