We are pleased to announce another Award-Winning Project: NJASLA Merit Design Award for Hilltop Colonial.
Hilltop Colonial is a new colonial revival home and garden set within mature oaks on a 1.35 acre steeply sloping site in Summit, New Jersey. As part of a design team with Rosen Kelly Conway Architects, we were able to design the site alongside the design of the home for optimal (and an incredible) outcome. A series of outdoor garden rooms organized on two axes and framed by stone walls create the level plinth for the structures and provides the necessary framework for the garden rooms. The result is a bespoke home and garden that seamlessly harmonizes with the surrounding neighborhood, preserves and enhances the surrounding mature tree canopy, while allowing all stormwater runoff to infiltrate naturally on the property. We designed as the landscape architect and project managed as the general contractor for all exterior elements.
The best part of this project? The clients themselves.
