"A busy couple of weeks with the Wisconsin Transportation Builders Association (WTBA)!
I had the opportunity to attend WTBAs Annual Fall Meeting in Madison, followed by the Fall Clay Shoot at Milford Hills with a few members of our Forward Traffic & Marking, LLC team.
The Fall Meeting provided some valuable insight into what lies ahead for Wisconsin's transportation industry in 2027. While WisDOT is projecting another relatively steady construction program, there is still plenty of uncertainty surrounding long-term transportation funding.
One of my biggest takeaways was that legislators from both sides of the aisle recognize the need for a more sustainable funding solution. They may disagree on how to get there, but its encouraging to see a shared understanding of how important our transportation infrastructure is to Wisconsin's economy.
On a lighter note, we wrapped up the following week with WTBAs Fall Clay Shoot. The weather certainly didn't cooperate, but a little rain wasn't going to stop more than 160 people from enjoying an afternoon together!
As a WTBA of Tomorrow board member, I'm grateful for the opportunity to be involved with an organization that brings so many great people and companies together.
