There have been some changes to Blades Lawn Care. We've reduced the number of properties that we are providing snow maintenance for. The biggest change is we are no longer offering lawn care services. These services include mowing, trimming, and blowing grass clippings off of hard surfaces.

We are continuing to offer lawn treatments. If you've been a customer in the past, we will be providing that service starting in March of 2022.

Meeting Between Bread. Most of you should know me pretty well. I accept only friends that are known to me. I feel it’s not for me to friend someone else's friend. And of late not a fan of the platform. Almost every FB friend I have, I have known on some level, you are not just a number. But if you are on my FB, it’s because we have some connection. I would love to see if we can still chat more than just likes... I decided to participate in an experience called “Meeting between Bread”. The idea is to see who reads a post without a photo. We are so consumed with technology that we forget the most important thing: good friendship. If no one is reading this message, it will be a short social experiment. But if you finish this till the end, I would love you to comment in ONE WORD about us. For example, a place, an object, a person, a moment in which you remember us. Then copy this post and post it on your page (don’t share) and I’ll go to your page and leave a word that reminds me of you. Please don’t comment if you don’t have time to copy the text. This will destroy the experiment. Let’s see who spent their time to read and respond according to the common story outside of Facebook.

Due to the recent rain fall, we are doing our best to get to properties in a timely manner. We don't want to tear lawns up or wait too long and allow the grass to grow way too tall.

With the growing season starting, be mindful of where you leave grass clippings.
In Iowa, it's illegal to leave grass clippings in the roadway. The clippings clog sewer pipes by decomposing into dirt.
Clippings on roadways also create a slip hazard for motorcycles and bicycles.
Blowing grass clippings in ward for two rounds keep clippings on the property. Or using a leaf blower or trimmer to blow clippings back into the grass are two solutions.
