Not sure how we’re supposed to get any work done with views like this!

We got a great jump on this brown metal roof today, and if everything keeps rolling, we might even have the deck framed and underway tomorrow.

Another beautiful day to be working outside. ☀️

Btw how good are these meta glasses pics?

Ten Years Ago Today

This Facebook memory popped up and stopped me in my tracks.

Ten years ago, this was Chase’s first day on the job at Bowers Home Improvements. Just a kid standing beside one of our old work trucks, not knowing where the journey would lead.

What he didn’t know then was that he would spend the next decade learning the trade, working through the heat, the cold, the long days, the early mornings, and all the challenges that come with building a career in construction.

What makes this memory even more special is that it represents three generations. My father, Peter Bowers, started Bowers Home Improvements in 1990. I was fortunate enough to learn from him. Ten years ago, I started passing that knowledge on to Chase.

Today, Chase is no longer the kid in the picture. He’s a skilled carpenter, meets with customers, runs projects, helps train others, and has become someone I can count on to keep things moving when I’m away. Watching him grow into the man he is today has been one of my proudest accomplishments.

Businesses can build houses, decks, roofs, and additions. But the real legacy isn’t the work we leave behind—it’s the people we invest in along the way.

I’m proud of the young man you’ve become, Chase. I can’t wait to see what the next ten years bring.

❤️ Dad

💙🧡Way More Than Baseball 💙🧡

The season didn’t end with a championship trophy, but that doesn’t change what this team accomplished.

Three years ago, these players put on the first Bowers Home Improvements jerseys. This season, they put together a championship-caliber run that made an entire community proud. The coaches dedicated countless hours, the parents made sacrifices, and the players put in the work every step of the way.

As the playoff run unfolded, I found myself getting more and more invested. If you know my story, then you know baseball has always meant much more to me than just a game. That’s why spending time around this team these past few weeks has been so special.

After the incredible Game 2 comeback, I had the opportunity to join a practice and throw BP. Spending time with these players reminded me of something I’ve known for a long time: baseball is about so much more than baseball.

It’s about friendships, confidence, life lessons, community, and memories that will last long after the final out.

To the players: hold your heads high. You represented Mahanoy City with class, determination, and pride. Nobody can take away what you accomplished this season.

To the coaches and parents: thank you for everything you poured into this team. Championship teams aren’t built by accident.

I’m proud that Bowers Home Improvements was able to sponsor this team, but I’m even more proud of the young men who wore those jerseys.

Congratulations on an incredible season. Mahanoy City is proud of every one of you. ⚾❤️

Great work,
Coach Jeff

Another commercial project completed for our friends at Northeast Chemical & Supply!

This week our team transformed a controlled-climate storage area by removing a damaged double-door opening and completely reframing the wall for a new 6’ x 6’ overhead garage door and a 32” outswing entry door. To help protect the new opening and improve safety, we also installed 4” steel bollards.

A great job by Chase, Dave and Lenny, completed on schedule and ready for years of service.
