The LoCascio Residence.

This client had an existing retaining wall that was failing, due to the lack of a drainage system. Any time you build a retaining wall it is essential that you provide adequate drainage otherwise, the life of wall will be severely compromised. When there is no drainage installed, the pressure of the soil behind the wall combined with water and erosion continues to force the wall forward and out of shape.

The block was still in good shape, so we were able to reuse them. We came in removed all of the block; power washed them and reinstalled the wall correctly with an entire drainage system behind it to make sure this client never has to replace it again. We also installed a drain at the end of the wall to reroute water from the driveway away.

The Alvarez Residence.

This client wanted to add a modern and maintenance-free addition to his backyard oasis. The pool, patio, retaining wall, fence and deck needed some green to soften up the space.

We came in and installed premium artificial turf, including a putting green and recreational area. This outdoor space is ready to entertain those of any age group for years to come!

The big reveal of our latest development in Sparta NJ. When first approached to take on this project and tackle nearly 18 feet of grade change, we knew our team was equipped to handle the challenge.
This job features 1,800 8” Cambridge Sigma wall blocks spanning 500 feet over the 3 tiered retaining walls. We installed over 500 tons of backfill behind the walls during our 5 weeks on the site.

The Kinsella Residence. This client wanted to add some substantial value to their home! We came in, removed the existing concrete walkway and steps and replaced them with Techo bloc Rocka treads, and Techo blu 60 smooth pavers with a sailor course edge of Holland Premier in heritage brown by Unilock, to add an elegant entrance to this residence.

We also removed the existing, deteriorating railroad tie retaining wall in the back of the property and replaced it with Unilocks' newest block, Concord Smooth, in Almond Grove. Paired with their Beacon Hill paver also in Almond Grove and Holland premier edge to match the front. We also added a side staircase in replace of an old wood one.

We then added the final touches with the planting. Including a variety of flowering perennials, evergreens, and ground cover. This property will turn heads for years to come.

The Mollenhauer residence. Phase 2. This former client had us install a patio, sitting walls, and a deck last year. He wanted us to come back to seal the patio this year with a wet look solvant based sealer to provide a wetlook year round. The sealant also protects the pavers from stains, makes them easier to clean, and further secures the poly sand.

He also had us repair his existing front entrance. The blocks and pavers were still in good condition. They just needed some love. The walls and pavers were also failing due to poor base material. We came in, disassembled the entire build, power washed everything to restore its color, and removed the bad base material. We installed 3/4" gravel to provide a very strong base that allows water to drain freely.

Water is a big problem with the old style of the material for construction builds. Quarry process has stone dust mixed in that retains water, and with the harsh freeze and thaw of the north east, it causes pavers and wall block to shift. Your build is only as strong as your base.

The Bahr residence. This client wanted to enhance a neglected planting bed surrounding a large sugar maple they had in their front yard. They were unsure how to approach the task because the tree littered the planting bed with large roots. We came up with a raised planting bed solution. We provided a natural stone wall to allow the bed to be filled with premium top soil, mulch, and an assortment of flowering perennials and evergreens to provide year-round interest.

The Regina Residence. This client wanted a few different paver applications throughout their property. A firepit area, including a few different inlay pavers surrounded by a couple dark bands of edge pavers and belgian blocks, A landing at the bottom of their existing stair case, a walkway and single stair leading to their driveway, and a large rectangular patio in the back of the residence, including 4 footings for a proposed pergola. We also cleared out a section on the right side of the house for grilling and entertainment!

The Haberlin Residence. Phase 2.

For this job, the client wanted to fix their concrete garage pad that was sinking due to an incorrect base material used. Which, in this case, was no base material. The original pad was laid right on the soil! If you are from the northeast, you know that we have harsh winters. With constant freeze and thaw, if the correct base material isn't used, you will have sinking and cracking. With concrete and pavers, they are only as strong as their base.

We came in, removed all of the old concrete, dug the appropriate depth down, removed some soil and installed the correct amount of gravel to allow this garage pad to stay in excellent shape for a long time. Finally, we installed approximately 800sf of concrete at a 4in depth!

We also added a walkway leading to our prior stair and drain install. Now, all of the water coming down from their driveway has somewhere to go and won't cause anymore runoff.

Good morning, everyone! We have been expanding into the indoor construction world, as you can see! This client wanted to get rid of the door to the outside of the laundry room as they had another door going to the same location not too far away. They also wanted new flooring, trim, and paint! This door filling wasn't that simple. As you can see, the foundation goes higher than this door was, so we had to do a bit of masonry with cinder blocks and mortar. After that, we began framing the wall, followed by sheetrock, spackle, and paint! The client got two new washing units and a nice area rug to finish the space.
