⛳ A Familiar Tradition, a Worthwhile Cause!

BBM Structural returned to the course on Friday, October 9, as a Principal Sponsor of the 23rd Annual Scott A. Strong Memorial Golf Tournament, benefiting Lake County Schools.

This year, Principal Luis Bedoya was joined by his son, Gabe, along with Dave Parker of Ridge Down and Branson Fitzpatrick of Pirtle Construction, for a round of golf supporting a cause BBM has backed for years.

Hosted by the Education Foundation of Lake County, the tournament helps fund scholarships and educational opportunities for local students. We're happy to continue this tradition, especially alongside industry colleagues who share our appreciation for the work happening in Lake County classrooms.

Pink carries a personal meaning at BBM this October. 💗

Breast cancer has touched members of our own BBM family, including survivors whose strength means even more to us because we know them, work alongside them, and celebrate them.

Supporting causes that matter to our team and our community has always been part of who we are. Throughout Breast Cancer Awareness Month, our logo will wear pink as a show of support for the survivors among us, those currently facing breast cancer, and the families standing beside them.

We’re proud to stand with our BBM family and the many others whose lives have been touched by breast cancer.

A project milestone worth celebrating.

BBM President Bora Erbilen joined Mount Sinai Medical Center, project partners, and community leaders for the ribbon-cutting of the new Mount Sinai Westchester Emergency Department.

As structural engineer for the four-story, approximately 112,000-square-foot facility, BBM has been part of the project from design through construction. Now, the facility is preparing to welcome its first patients and expand access to emergency care in western Miami-Dade County.

Congratulations to Mount Sinai Medical Center and the entire project team on reaching this milestone.

Boots on for a cause that matters. 🤠

BBM has been a longtime supporter of the Orlando Cattle Baron’s Ball, and we were glad to be back this year with Ariel Neris, Nathan Morrow, Karen Petersen, and Charles Thornton representing our team.

For 27 years, the event has raised funds for the American Cancer Society, supporting cancer research and patient programs. We had a great time catching up with friends and colleagues while supporting a cause that continues to make an impact in our community.

Already looking forward to next year!

Breakfast first. Then golf. ⛳

BBM Structural kicked off last Friday as the Breakfast Sponsor of the ASCE East Central Branch 2026 Scholarship Golf Tournament at Celebration Golf Club in Kissimmee.

Ariel Neris, Nathan Morrow, and Nick Carbone hit the course for BBM, joined by Cornelius Benton of Edge Construction. A good morning of golf made even better by supporting ASCE’s scholarship efforts and the next generation entering the engineering profession.

Fall has officially arrived, although Florida temperatures may say otherwise. ☀️

Temperature changes affect how building materials expand and contract, making thermal movement an important consideration in structural design. BBM’s engineers account for these effects based on the materials, structural system, and conditions of each project.

The seasons may change. Good engineering plans for the conditions that remain.
