Mike began testing the waters of the landscape maintenance and at age of nine years old, when he began mowing the lawn and manicuring the grounds of his parents and grandparents. When mike reached the age of twelve, he became very interested in how to grow and tend to vegetables. This craft was taught to Mike by his grandfather, whom was a master gardener (from Italy). Mike continued to maintain f

amily members living close by until the age of 14. Having very open-minded parents, and being inspired by the craft of landscape design and construction, Mike decided to redesign the landscapes of his parents and grandparents. After Mike was finished, the neighborhood became so impressed, that Mike began to immediately receive requests from the community. Over the next year and one half, Mike grew to know, what he was destined for. In 1981, Mike officially opened for business and launched “Mike’s Landscaping Co.” This was the major stepping stone of emergence for one of the most sought after and highly awarded landscape design companies in the country. We thank our loyal and gracious customers for our continued growth and success.

Why? Many older lawns were established with common type turf grasses not suited for heat, drought or poor soil conditions. They are more often disease and insect prone, requiring more fertilizer and water, a precious resource we can’t afford to waste. New construction lawns are often stripped of topsoil and the compacted subsoil creates poor growing conditions.

A lawn restoration through over-seeding or sodding will upgrade your lawn and increase the value of your landscape. A well maintained lawn and landscape can add 15% to the value of your home.
