The next few days are expected to bring dangerously high temperatures. Please take a few extra minutes to care for your family, your neighbors, and your landscape.

Here are a few simple ways to help your plants through the heat:

• Water deeply in the early morning or late evening to reduce evaporation.

• Check newly planted trees, shrubs, and flowers daily. They require extra attention during periods of extreme heat.

• Maintain a layer of mulch to help retain soil moisture and keep plant roots cooler.

• Avoid pruning or fertilizing during a heat wave, as both can place additional stress on your plants.

• Leave out fresh water for birds and other wildlife whenever possible.

Just as importantly, please remember to check on elderly neighbors, family members, and anyone who may be vulnerable during the heat. A simple phone call or quick visit can make a meaningful difference.

Stay hydrated, stay cool, and stay safe.

Sometimes, a full fence replacement isn't necessary.

For this project, we replaced the damaged shadowbox fence panels while preserving the existing posts and topped it off with beautiful new 2' lattice panels. The result is a fresh, updated look that adds privacy, style, and years of life to the existing fence.
