Five years ago, Drew Pericas joined Titan Mechanical Inc. as part of a plumbing division that looked a lot different than it does today.

In fact, there were only four people on the plumbing team.

Drew came aboard as a crew leader. Since then, he’s grown into a foreman role while watching that original four-person plumbing team grow to around 25 plumbers.

His own growth and the growth of the division have gone hand in hand. Over the years, he’s worked on projects with different challenges, crews, schedules, and demands.

One lesson he carries into his role as a foreman—and would pass along to anyone starting a career in the mechanical or plumbing trades—is to keep your cool, communicate with your team and the general contractor, and remember that good communication helps the entire project run more smoothly.

For Drew, working in the trades also requires commitment.

The work can mean traveling more than two hours from home, working through all kinds of weather, prioritizing your time, and showing up ready to do the job. But it’s work he’s passionate about.

And after more than five years at Titan, a big part of what has kept Drew here is the team around him. His words, "Titan supports me in the field and backs up the decisions I make as a foreman.”

What was once a neighborhood grocery store is looking a whole lot different these days.

Construction is underway at Modera Lady Bird in Northwest Washington, D.C., transforming the former SuperFresh site into a new mixed-use community with 234 apartment homes and an 18,000-SF grocery store.

Our Titan Mechanical Inc. team is on site handling the hashtag scope for the project alongside Mill Creek Residential.

There's still plenty of work ahead, but it's great to see this long-vacant site taking shape.

When the equipment is almost as big as the space it’s going into… 💪🔧

Titan Mechanical Inc. is getting HVAC equipment into place at The Dax in Bethesda, where a compact urban footprint means every inch matters.

Getting equipment like this where it needs to go takes planning, coordination, and a crew working together.

Nice work, Titans!

A former Midas becoming a car-free apartment building? We couldn’t make this one up. 🔧➡️🏢
And it’s all happening on just 0.24 acres in downtown Bethesda.

The Dax, a new multifamily development underway at 4725 Cheltenham Drive, is transforming a site once home to a one-story Midas auto repair shop into a roughly 76,000-square-foot residential building with 110 apartments.

Here’s the ironic part: there’s no on-site car parking.
The Bethesda Metro is just a short walk away, along with Bethesda Row’s restaurants and shops and access to the Capital Crescent Trail. For residents who do need a vehicle, there’s a public county garage directly across the street.

We enjoy being part of unique redevelopment projects like this, especially when they come with an interesting construction challenge. Building this much on such a small urban footprint means space is at a premium and coordination between trades is critical.

Titan Mechanical Inc. is currently installing HVAC systems throughout the building.

We’re proud to be working alongside Eichberg Construction, Inc. and the project team as The Dax takes shape in downtown Bethesda.

There’s a lot happening on the rooftop at MetroWest Square—and from up here, you get a pretty good view of the scope of this project.

Titan Mechanical Inc. is proud to be performing the HVAC and plumbing work throughout the community, including energy-efficient heating and air conditioning systems, Wi-Fi-enabled smart thermostats, and 50-gallon electric water heaters for the residences.

With one-, two- and three-bedroom homes, two levels of underground parking, and multiple buildings all coming together on one site, there’s a lot of coordination happening above, below, and behind the walls.

This rooftop view gives you a look at just one piece of the mechanical infrastructure it takes to support 236 homes.
