Story time. Our own George Schooley was enroute to an appointment in Glen Arm, MD today when a large portion of a tree fell in front of his pickup. He did what country boys do and climbed out to get a chain and, while it took a minute, he cleared the road. The police officer arriving on site said the county was running about three hours out. His heroism was picked up on the local NextDoor app. Great job George!

It might have nothing to do with septic, but as we close out Summer of 2026, Legacy founders George & Jenny Schooley look back to thank Pump for an amazing trip. They took their Today Show mugs through Alaska’s inside passage, bringing them out one more time at Seattle Washington’s airport before heading home.

TONIGHT (8/5) is the Annual Carroll County 4-H & FFA Fair Cake Auction and we couldn't be more excited to celebrate these kids and support our wonderful community. Last Year Legacy Septic had the honor of winning the amazing cookie basket of the young lady (red/white plaid dress) that you'll see in this quick video. Legacy wants to encourage other local businesses to come out and share this exciting evening with us and witness first hand the very best of Carroll!

With “Back to School” around the corner, today was the perfect day for a field trip. Today we took three teams to a jobsite in Frederick County. Each team was told to design a septic system. Specifically they focused on four basics when locating a system. 1) Distance to the well (100’). 2) Consider topography (swales). 3) Locate the septic tank so that it will also service the reserve area if/when the new absorption system expires someday. 4) Care about your customer's property. Is there a feature such as a fence, playset, hardscapes or a pool? Take everything into account. Work to create as least disruption as possible.

This summer we’re joined by Everett. Everett is an Eagle Scout (great scouting family) and enjoys Marvel as well as gaming (Legend of Zelda).
