Every day is a perfect day to learn about water, but today was especially grand to be with our WRAPS friends and partners from the Kansas Department of Health and the Environment at Tuttle Creek Reservoir. Along with many others, we spent our afternoon discussing the issue of sedimentation: we know that sediment impacts most of our Kansas reservoirs, which are essential for communities' water supply and flood abatement. Water injection dredging here at Tuttle is an opportunity to explore the efficacy of this new(ish) technology and how it can impact our water quality. Thankful for the opportunity to see it up close and in person!
