We have commercial building experience ranging from commercial retail spaces to multifamily complexes, restaurants, schools, and church construction. Wayne was an active member of his community and formed many partnerships along the way. In recent years, Wayne has transitioned i

nto the role of Chairman and Patrick Schutter has taken over as president. Patrick started with BHS in 2003 and has worked in all capacities both in the field and in the office. Levi Schneider, Vice President, got his first start at BHS in 2004 and was back full time in 2010 as a project manager before transitioning to VP in 2018. As we approach the end of Military Appreciation Month, we are reflecting on our partnership with the Home Builders Institute Transitioning Military and Veterans Program. This 12-week program prepares service members for a career in the construction industry. We've been honored to welcome several HBI graduates onto our team who bring discipline, work ethic, and leadership to our jobsites every day.

We were recently back on Fort Riley for this program, and we’re proud to be a partner in this important mission. Learn more about HBI Military Services at hbi.org/military.

We had a paw-sitively wonderful time celebrating with Wakarusa Veterinary Hospital at the groundbreaking for their vet hospital renovation! We are very excited to be Building Together with their team and increase our impact in the Lawrence community.

We also made a new best friend Chopper The Heart Stopper (who we may have to steal as our mascot😉)

We celebrated with the Manhattan Arts Center on the opening of their new outdoor classroom space! What was an empty parking lot now features a new mural, furniture hand-crafted by K-State students, and sunshades that our Client Solutions team was thrilled to install the poles and anchors for.

The space was created with the goal of engaging with even more community members as a vibrant hub for creativity! The MAC is dedicated to providing accessible visual and performing arts, and we are proud to with them.

Both the Hampton Inn and street revitalization projects are making excellent progress in Aggieville as we head into summer!

🚧Laramie St is now closed for improvements from the 12th St intersection to N Manhattan Ave, but don’t worry! Laramie Plaza businesses, The Library, Fat’s and the Handi-Corner lot are all still accessible through the open sections of 12th and Laramie, as well as from Freemont.

Please help us continue to support your favorite Aggieville small businesses as we make these improvements to keep the district thriving for generations to come!
