Tore down old structure, except the ledger boards. Installed new joists adding a little length, and finished it with Cedar Tone treated lumber throughout. There will be solar lights on each of the posts, they are on order now.

Post was sitting on/in concrete pillar. Spalling happened, meaning water got between the post and concrete, froze, and busted the concrete away. Instead of pulling the pillar and pouring a new pillar, I decided to cut it flat, add a post base anchored to the existing pillar. It's off center a little of the pillar to make sure the post was plumb on all sides. Still a safe and effective way to solve this issue.
