I still get excited when I come across the perfect piece of wood. It might not look like much from the outside, but there’s something special inside ready to be showcased. I turn wood on a lathe, carefully eyeing its potential with each rotation. I take pride in my work. If it doesn’t come out just right it goes into the fire and ends up serving another purpose, warming my shops on cold days. The pieces I create are intended to last for generations. They are functional art that can be used on a daily basis or displayed for everyone to see.
