This is more of a wood coloring technique video about attaining between colors vs this specific color. FYI the Sugi Bahn Pine ends up looking like a Scooby Doo cartoon color πŸ˜†

Hope it helps someone out.

6ft USA wooden flag I made for the shop πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ
Stay united USA. Not making or selling these, is for my shop, and just wanted to share. Used Keda Dye liquids (blue & red), a light torching of Pine, Minwax white, and Polycrylic sprayed through my spray gun. Really looks even more amazing in person...stay strong and stay united USA ❀

Testing some wood dye colors for another bench that is almost done. I am leaning towards the Golden Amber, but then was thinking the Amber on the edge trim, and maybe the brown dark stain on the top. Used both Keda powders and Keda liquid dyes for the golden amber and just the Keda 5 color powder dye kit. Both mixed into water. Amber sealed with polyurethane, brown with semi gloss lacquer. I am the one in the shop all the time, and seeing it everyday, so I wanted to dress it up a bit.

Not the sexiest homemade wood rack but is a pretty good start at holding wood lol will finish up later, but just want to get basics done to get back to somewhat normal operations. I am so tired that I didnt even sand these boards at all
Love this color :) Makes Douglas Fir look like a dark walnut wood or if I really use my imagination perhaps a Babinga wood. Oh and all I sealed with was 1 coat of boiled linseed oil

Used Keda Wood Dye Powders
Mixed dyes into 2 oz water
Added 16 oz rubbing alcohol
2 tbsp Keda Stain Additive (still finalizing testing but worked awesome today - is going to be kinda difficult to describe this product well πŸ€”)
Brown: 1.50 grams
Black: 1.00 grams
Red: 1.00 grams
Blue: 0.20 grams

Is a VERY heavy mix, and could probably go to 24 ounces, but I didnt sand these at all, just used finishing cut on planer cause I was rushing and tired...just being honest

Couldnt help myself, and colored the HUGE chip board wall. I didnt sand the top part, but did sand the bottom part with only a 150 grit. Sanding does make a difference πŸ˜‰ The light blue paint color was already on the other brick wall, so I just incorporated that to be the, "Blue Room" you will see that more when i show you the stairs I am doing πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ Really does look amazing in person. I got the shop everyone!!! Yay 🀯πŸ₯‚πŸŽ‰ Now comes repairs, so I have one small section done and started color work. I don't even want to say how much more to go hahaha. Wall is about 25' high and about 30' wide. I am doing a video on this, but basically added 5 grams Keda blue powder dye to 4 oz water, mixed that into 8 oz of polycrylic for the "Color & Seal" approach, since this is a HUGE wall made of chipboard sheets lol. Should look awesome when done though...then will be off to next project of repairs πŸ€£πŸ˜‚ So happy I got more room now! Now I can chase some of the bazillion ideas I haveπŸ‘
