For years, MEI Total Elevator Solutions has set aside time to recognize the people behind the company. This year, that tradition expanded into the first Employee Appreciation Week at MEI’s Mankato headquarters, with an ice cream social served by leadership, a food truck lunch, coffee and donuts, and a longtime MEI tradition—a potluck lunch with smoked meats provided by MEI and sides and desserts shared by employees.

The week culminated in a Human Foosball tournament, with teams competing in morning pool play before moving into a single-elimination bracket after lunch. What started as friendly competition quickly brought out the competitive spirit, along with some unexpected talent, a few bruises, and plenty of laughs before one team was crowned champion.

Employee Appreciation Week may be a new format, but recognizing the hard work and dedication of MEI employees certainly isn’t. Thank you to everyone who continues to make MEI what it is today.
