Teams are working diligently to complete the new Texas A&M University School of Law and Education Building, which is the first of several planned new buildings for the Fort Worth campus. Paul R. Williams was an amazing architect who designed countless structures and made significant contributions to the architectural field over the span of six decades. He became the first African American member and later Fellow of the American Institute of Architects (AIA). He designed more than 2,000 buildings and homes in Los Angeles which include residences for the wealthy and Hollywood elite and affordable homes for the local community. He was also part of the LAX planning and design team. Some of his more notable works include: the Beverly Hills Hotel, First AME Church, Los Angeles County Courthouse, homes for Frank Sinatra and Lucille Ball, and the La Co**ha Motel in Las Vegas.

Ann McNeill is the owner of MCO Construction and Services, Inc. and has worked tirelessly over the course of her career to bring inclusivity and diversity to the field. Today's Thursday Throwback revisits the new American Airlines Robert W. Baker Integrated Operations Center. Source Building Group, Inc. served as the Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) partner for the interior buildout. Completed in 2020, the 150,000 square feet facility is a major component in the headquarters expansion project for the airlines as it houses 1,600 employees and contains all global flight operations for American Airlines and US Airways.

The building was designed to withstand the winds of an EF-3 tornado which can range from (165-185mph). Work included new office administration spaces, executive spaces, a state-of-the-art cafetorium and a new parking garage.
