Had to take a second to catch my breath at the top of the hill while pulling taps. Thankful to have a place to sit, reflect, and find clarity.

This week, with the help of three other amazing women, we had the honor of catering Senator Gene Yaw’s Ag Breakfast for Tioga & Bradford Counties. It’s a special event that we are able to showcase and uplift other farmers, producers, and businesses within our region - not just “us”.

Sitting here high on the hill reminds me that in the grand scheme of things, I’m a small part of the equation, but it’s really all the small parts making the whole that’s special. It makes my heart happy knowing that through my business venture I have the ability to uplift others and have an army of strong women behind me to help make that happen.

The Annual Sappy Gratitude Post!

It’s humbling to hear how far some travel to experience and learn about the process. We appreciate those that come year after year, and those old familiar faces we haven’t seen in a while - always a happy surprise!

Wendy Graham and her amazing girls have once again shown what kindness and community can do, raising over $1,000 for Callie Cares!

Callie Cares is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting children and their families as they battle pediatric cancer. This year’s fundraiser was extra special, with flowers grown with love, seeds carefully collected and dried, and thoughtfully packaged for you to plant this spring.

Containers will be available tomorrow during Maple Open House at Sugar Mama's Appalachian Maple. Stop by, plant something beautiful, and give to a truly great cause!

Kid at heart and an art kid at that! I’m a proud grad from Commonwealth University-Mansfield, where most of my time was spent in Allen Hall, diving into Graphic Design.

It's amazing how art sneaks its way into every corner of our lives, whether it's the buildings around us, the products we buy, the food we eat, or even the roads we travel! Art truly shapes everything.

Art is especially important for kids. It helps with cognitive, emotional, and physical development, from fine motor skills to creative problem-solving. It gives them a nonverbal outlet to express themselves, boosting both mental well-being and communication skills while making those all-important brain connections through sensory experiences.

Each year, we host a coloring contest for the kiddos during maple season, and it's honestly one of my favorite parts (besides, of course, sampling the product)!

If you'd like your little Picasso to join in, just let me know if you need a printed copy of the coloring page. And don't forget, return their artwork by March 21st! 🍁

Announcing Sugar Mama’s Appalachian Maple 2026 Coloring Contest!

As Pennsylvania prepares to mark a major milestone through America250PA, we’re celebrating one of the Commonwealth’s sweetest traditions, maple sugaring! For centuries, this hands-on craft has connected generations, from Indigenous peoples to early settlers, and continues to remind us that history lives on through everyday traditions we still enjoy today.

We invite kids 17 & under to be part of that story by entering Sugar Mama’s 2026 Coloring Contest and showing what maple sugaring, and Pennsylvania history, means to them!

We’ll be at Mill Cove Environmental Area Saturday, February 28th providing maple education!

The weather looks favorable (mid 40’s) and we anticipate boiling. Mother Nature has a way of doing what she wants, so boiling is dependent upon her.

Learn maple sugaring basics and get hands on experience with tubing installation.

Dress for the elements and expect mud! Come learn and explore with us at Mill Cove!
