BBB Review – Greg & Donna Kitchen 4/4/2017
Oh, I have so much to say about this company, I hope I have room for it all. It was 5:45pm on Tues., Mar 28, 2017. My husband has COPD n I had just gotten home from 5 days in the hospital just that afternoon, when our a/c unit literally blew up, smoke n all. We looked in the BBB for reputable contractors n while there were some with awards, etc., n this company had none, it also had an A+ rating n no complaints, my husband n I were drawn to Custom Air. It was late, we knew not to expect to hear from them until the next day. When they called, they explained to me that it would be the following day before they could get out to my home to do the inspection to make sure I had ordered all the necessary items in order for them to place order n install. I explained our health situation n asked if there was anything they could do to help sooner. They promptly rearranged their schedules n I had 2 of the most wonderful men come to my home that afternoon. They explained to me that they had to place the order that afternoon n it would take up to 48 hrs for them to get unit to them n that while I could expect A/C by the weekend, they would move us to the top of their list as soon as they rec'd the unit. All I could think was thank God it wasn't August! To my surprise, I received a phone call on Thurs morning. The unit was ordered on Tues evening so this was much sooner than expected. I answered the phone to hear Paul say..."I've got GREAT news!" To all of r surprise, the unit had arrived the evening before. A little more than 24 hrs after ordering, n that they would like to come right out n install. My husband was at work n while I do not like being alone in the home with male contractors, I felt n immediate connection to these 2 men...more than like neighbors, they felt like family...after only 1 previous meeting so I of course said "Yes, please!" I was surprised by my 2 new "brothers" n 3 of the best additional installers I have ever witnessed! Within 4 hrs of arrival, they had laid tarps (which they never walked off of, from my front door all the way to my attic stairs), completely taken apart n removed my old unit...compressor AND air handler (which was tight fit in a corner of my hot attic) replaced, installed, tested n get this...cleaned every speck (within reason) of "debris" that could be found n loaded up n hauled away my old unit. They reset breakers that old a/c had popped, I thought I needed an electrician....when I mentioned this, Keenan (sp) said..."OH! No ma'am...I've already fixed that for u." While they were doing this, I was putting together a console table...they hauled THAT trash outside! I know this was a long story but, I felt like each word needed to b said. This company n these people r now considered part of my family n I would not hesitate for a nano-second to recommend them to my nearest n dearest! I promise u, if you're looking for a contractor who will not price gouge u...while they did make some recommendations, I was not pressured into any of them...in fact, cost was incredibly reasonable....will take your situation into consideration, get in n get out while treating u with the greatest care n respect n dignity with a job MORE than well done, then u need to stop looking right now n call Custom Air! Thank you, Lord, for putting this company n these people in our lives that Tues evening!
