Today is Armed Forces Day, and to celebrate, MP is shining the spotlight on two of our own:

First up is one of our aerial linemen: Corporal Quinten Ortiz. During his 6 years of service in the US Marine Corps, Quinten participated in multiple military exercises, including the Unit Deployment Program (UDP) in Japan and UNITAS training in Brazil.

Next, we have one of our groundsmen, Daveon Reed-Berryman (known to us as Berry). During his 4 years with the US Army, Berry served as an MOS 91L construction equipment mechanic, keeping the Army’s engineer equipment safe and operational.

We owe both of these men, as well as all those serving/who have served in the armed forces, a debt of gratitude. Thank you for your service, Quinten and Berry! 🇺🇸

Big thanks to the students from Maple Lake High School for visiting our headquarters in Maple Lake! 👏 These young adults are part of the OJT Program at Wright Technical Center and were accompanied by their advisor, Mr. Lee.

The group got an inside look at our office, shop, and yard operations while learning more about the utility construction industry and the many career paths available right here in our community. We also spent time discussing interview expectations and practicing mock interview questions to help prepare them for future opportunities.

We love investing in the next generation and appreciate the students for their great questions, professionalism, and engagement throughout the visit!
