I ripped out a heated floor in Texas when I was 23 and it was the worst. Since then, I've probably ripped out maybe a dozen more. And as someone on the heels of 40 it's just worstester, they all are until my job is just unloading the jackhammer and giving it to a journeyman. An apprentice would ruin the sub-floor, it's not just heavy, it's going to require some skill. There's nothing quite like an 1" of concrete with wire and plastic mesh laid throughout. I'm probably going to put the heated floors back on a mat, an uncoupling membrane, just because if someone else has to tear that out I assume, it's not as bad. I wouldn't use this method for install anymore. It's great until it's not.

This old house got a big update when I put in new counters, sink and backsplash. However, getting rid of 3 separate floors in these areas and reducing them down to one tile floor throughout so everything could match, that was the real update.

This laundry room remodel was a bit of beast but nothing I didn't enjoy working through. Rearranging a rooms water, septic and electric is the kind of thing I describe as simple but I tend to forget how much running around it can take from of me. This project provided more storage space for the client then I've tackled in several of the kitchen remodels this year too. I think everyone was happy with the finished project, usually a list that I'm not on so I'm extra happy with it. Didn't think this was going to go as well as it did. Just trying to cover up mistakes and put some fires out as best I can on this little art studio. The only things that were square before I got here were the windows that come that way and nothing was level. Making this specific cut quite the challenge, it was not enjoyable until it was finished. Stain matching and material coordination in remodeling is no small feat—especially in a small bathroom! It’s like trying to solve a jig-saw puzzle where all the pieces are different colors and shapes because it is! But with some meticulous planning and expert stain matching techniques, we've turned this challenge into a stunning success. Proud to say I feel like I nailed this rather problematic situation on rather tight budget. Its such a small bathroom and was part of a much larger project but this little space went back together far better than I had even hoped

The older I get the more I become a brand loyalist and absolutely no other company has proven their worth to me more than Makita. I've had both this chop saw and table saw for over a decade, the table saw is actually from the 80's, making it roughly the same age as me. Somethings just don't need major improvements, the chop saw could use some repairs but the table saw remains a beast. Makita just being Makita.
