Sweater weather is here. And while you're adding layers, it might be time to think about your garage door.

An older, poorly insulated door can make it harder to keep an attached garage comfortable as temperatures drop. A new insulated steel door offers better thermal performance while giving you the durability, low maintenance, and updated style you're looking for.

Ready to bundle up your garage for the seasons ahead? Let The Door Guys help you find the right new door for your home.

For one night each year, the garage stops being a place for cars, tools, and storage. It becomes candy headquarters, a gathering place for neighbors, and the backdrop for hundreds of trick-or-treat memories.

So why not let your garage door join the fun?
👻 Turn it into a giant monster face with oversized eyes and teeth
🕸️ Create a spider invasion with webs and creepy crawlies
🎪 Transform your driveway into a carnival, pirate cove, haunted house, or pumpkin patch
📸 Set up a festive photo spot for costumed kids and families

Whether you go spooky, silly, or somewhere in between, your garage door is a blank canvas for Halloween creativity.

Just remember to keep decorations away from tracks, sensors, springs, and other moving parts so everyone can enjoy a safe night of fun.

🧡 Here's to full candy buckets, great costumes, and making your corner of the neighborhood a little more memorable this Halloween.

While you're tackling fall cleanup, give your garage door a little attention, too.

Leaves, dirt, and debris can collect around the tracks and sensors, so take a few minutes to clear the area and wipe the photo eyes clean. While you're there, open and close the door and pay attention to how it moves and sounds.

Jerking? Grinding? Making a noise you haven't heard before? That's when it's time to bring in the experts.

The easy stuff? You've got it. The hard stuff? You've Got a Guy for That.

Your garage door works hard every day. Give it a quick five-minute check this September:

✔️ Listen & Look – Open and close your garage door. Grinding, squeaking, or jerky movement? That's your cue to have it checked.

✔️ Clean the Sensors – Wipe the photo-eye lenses near the floor with a soft cloth to keep the safety sensors working properly.

✔️ Test the Auto-Reverse – Place a piece of wood on the ground under the door. If it doesn't reverse when it touches the object, it's time for service.

✔️ Clear the Tracks – Remove leaves, dirt, and debris that can interfere with smooth operation.

✔️ Lubricate Moving Parts – Use a silicone-based garage door lubricant (not WD-40) on metal hinges and rollers to help reduce wear and noise.

If anything doesn't seem right... there's a guy for that.
