A vulnerability disclosure and advisement to take almost the entire internet offline from a global spy agency on facebook...

NSA - Network Security Administration.

So yesterday AI discovered a hole in php (that the developers knew was there, there just wasn't a reliable way for hackers to use it... until yesterday). 70% of the internet runs on php. My server runs on php. Everyone updated to close the hole. I updated at the end of the day and went to bed. This morning the database was down because I didn't reboot the server after updating.

Loading the truck with everything that will be needed for the day, shopping for materials, and driving it all to where it needs to go is like packing for a camping trip every single day and I always forget something.

Walking out to the shop, lighting the wood stove, and sweeping up at the end of the day is much less of an ordeal.

Do you charge a different rate for work in the shop vs. on-site because the overhead is so much less?
