I know I haven’t posted in a while but now that we have the new system up and running here we go again!
Yesterday, at a customers house I noticed a louder buzzing (than the bees around me). I looked over to see..... a hummingbird moth!!!

Despite coming up to winter we should all still be very aware of the dangers in and around us at all times. While these are not all the invasive pests of NE, they are some of the most destructive. If you would like literature or help identifying any of these please, send us an email and I will be happy to send you one of the ID cards with some facts about signs and symptoms.

Earlier this year I found what I now know is an Exobasidium Gall. Found through the Azalea and Rhododendrons. Although easily pruned off if detected early enough, this pathogen causes deformations to stems and the fruits of the shrubs. Theybegin as a light green but will eventually become covered with pink spores in which case should not be handled by anyone unfamiliar with them.
