This project features a vaulted open-ceiling gable design with a white soffit underside and 12” overhangs that transition seamlessly into the existing rooflines of the home. Careful attention was given to proportion, finish detail, and overall integration so the addition would look original to the structure rather than an afterthought.

Built approximately 130 years ago, this home had seen decades of settling and patchwork repairs. The original undersized framing and aging 2x6 joists had allowed the floors to sag significantly, throwing walls, doorways, and trim badly out of level—as shown by the laser lines in the before photos.

To correct it properly, we went all the way down to the structure. Existing flooring and heavy old materials were removed, sections excavated, and the framing system completely rebuilt with new 2x8 joists, reinforced 2x10 beams, and upgraded supports. We then installed new 3/4-inch subflooring, bringing the floors and walls back to within 1/8 inch throughout the space.

The bathroom was then transformed into a clean, modern space centered around a custom walk-in tile shower. Finished with large-format gray wall tile, a marble-look threshold, and a white hex mosaic shower floor, the design balances durability with timeless style. We incorporated a built-in bench for comfort, recessed niche storage for convenience, dual corner shelves, and brushed nickel grab bars for added accessibility and safety. Frosted sliding glass doors completed the enclosure, while the matching vanity with stone top tied the entire room together for a polished, cohesive finish.

Lynn and Cathy were an absolute pleasure to work with throughout the project, and we truly appreciated the trust they placed in us to restore and improve their home.

Another backyard transformed.

We removed the old worn-out deck and replaced it with a brand new custom build featuring a modern hog-wire railing system for a clean, open look. Built to be durable, functional, and ready to be enjoyed for years to come.

This project came to us through a referral from Donna and Randy, who are always wonderful homeowners to work for. We also had the opportunity to meet and build this deck for Vernita Wilcox, who was fantastic to work with throughout the process.
