This hardworking crew grinds day in and out, somehow I don’t think they would have it any other way! We want to thank our clients for the projects we have had the pleasure of working on this season- it’s good hard work and we love it! We are taking a long weekend at Plant Theory as we look forward to fall projects including the Barnes Hecker Memorial Park project- we are so thankful for all the work, support, and the opportunities to collaborate with some wonderful folks this season. A fresh semi load of plants has officially arrived! 🌿🚛

Getting a shipment like this takes a tremendous amount of planning, coordination, and sweat. Every plant has a place, and every detail matters.

Now comes the part we love most—bringing these landscapes to life. We’re excited to get these installation projects underway and knock them out of the park for our clients. Stay tuned to watch these spaces transform! 🌳🌸💪

Plant Theory friends — I’m seeking a small workspace to relocate operations quickly. I’m so appreciative of the friends and clients who have already shared ideas and possible options.

We are looking for a simple base of operations near Marquette for morning meet and load‑up, tool storage, and ideally the ability to receive occasional shipments (though I do have alternate shipping locations if needed).

If you have space available or know of any short‑term options, I’d love to connect. Thank you for keeping your ears open — this community is everything.

Today, we pause to honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country. Their courage, dedication, and selflessness will never be forgotten. 🇺🇸

We’d like to take this time to give an exciting update that has had some presence in the local news lately. The 100-year anniversary of the Barnes-Hecker Mine tragedy is in November of this year and we are proud to announce that we are one of the lucky contractors that are taking on the commemoration project in Ely township. Stay tuned for more updates and photos soon!

This month we’re gonna focus on when to reference your USDA Hardiness Zone to pick the right plant versus when to reference your Eco-Region. Did you know there’s a difference?

USDA Hardiness Zones focus on one key factor: average minimum winter temperature. ⭐️These are best used when you’re asking: Can this plant survive winter here?

EPA Eco-Regions look at a more broad range of factors like: climate patterns, soil types, rainfall, elevation, and native plant communities.
⭐️These are best used when you’re asking: Will this plant thrive long-term in this landscape?

Think of it this way:
Hardiness Zones tell you if a plant can live here while Eco-Regions help determine if a plant will flourish here.

Great landscapes rely on both-because your property deserves informed care, not guesswork 🌱
