First of May I went and looked at a new property to mow. It was a rather large property. The gentleman wanted it mowed every 10 days as weather permitted. I came up with a price for him and he accepted. I told him since he was a new customer I required payment after each mow. I mowed it the first time and sent him a text with no response within a couple days. Then I called him twice leaving a voicemail the 2nd time for him to call me. I did not hear from him after a few days. I called him at 10 days after the mow with no answer and left voicemail again. I never went back to mow again. Another friend I have in the business called me yesterday and said he had been called to give him an estimate. That the guy before came once and mowed and never came back. He left out the part that he didn’t pay the guy that came before him. I told my friend what happened and told him to be aware and consider this before mowing. I’m out $350 (weedeating included the first mow). Lesson learned on this one!!! Thankful I didn’t go mow a 2nd and 3rd time to not get paid! Still it’s a costly loss! I just have to give it to God and walk away! This makes me feel extra thankful for my clients that pay me timely!!!
