🌧️ Okay… who’s still praying for rain?
You can stop now.
Seriously.
We appreciate the effort. The lawns appreciate the effort. The trees appreciate the effort.
But your prayers have been answered. Repeatedly. For about three straight weeks. 😂
At this point, if you’re still asking for rain, maybe switch over to sunshine, a light breeze, and about 10 consecutive days where our boots don’t sink into the ground.
And in case it only feels like Central Iowa has been unusually wet — the numbers say otherwise.
☔ Des Moines: 13+ inches this September — more than FOUR TIMES normal rainfall through this point in the month.
☔ Marshalltown: 6.7+ inches — more than DOUBLE normal.
☔ Ames: 5+ inches — also well above normal.
So whether you're in Des Moines, Ames, Marshalltown, or somewhere in between, we think we can safely speak for Central Iowa:
✅ Grass is watered
✅ Trees are watered
✅ Ground is watered
✅ Creeks are watered
✅ Our equipment is muddy
✅ Our crews have had enough
