Our Motto is, "When it has to be done right, call Traverso Tree Service." Our estimates are free and given by knowledgeable Certified Arborists. A partial list of the services include: trimming, removal, stump grinding, hazard evaluation, cabling, aeration, and fertilization. We provide tree appraisals, preservation reports, and a variety of consulting. Our crew is very efficient, dedicated and kn

owledgeable.Here are Traverso Tree Service we value education. The majority of our crew (12 of the 14) are Certified Tree Works. This certification requires a minimum of 18 months' experience as a tree climber, proof of training in aerial rescue, CPR, and first aid. Additionally, all CTW's must pass a written examination in the areas of pruning, plant biology, cabling, planting, and safety. As a result we are up to date on the current industry standards of tree safety and pruning.

Last week John talked to the crew about sounding with a mallet to evaluate the structure of a tree. The wood sounds different when it's solid versus decayed, as the decayed wood has a lower or more "hollow" sound. You use the mallet first to identify areas of potential decay in case you want to bring in more advanced tools like a resistograph (because you don't want to arbitrarily drill into a tree that doesn't have issues). Although it may be simple, it gets the job done!

A big congratulations to Rhys and Tim, who passed their Certified Arborist and Certified Tree Worker tests last week, respectfully. We're always excited when members of our company decide to take their education one step further. Rhys will now become an official estimator out in the field, and Tim will continue as one of our stellar tree climbers. 🌳
