Prep work for a Jack and Bore for a sewer line in Fishers. Box in the Water is in the existing sewer trench line. One throwing spoils back off the other digging to set trench boxes for the bore 15’ wide x 40’ long x 10’ deep. We are limited on space because of an underground storm system.

Four rail fence repair. Some of the winds got this fence leaning. We took the Hydro-Vac and opened the post hole back up so the fence could be straightened up then placed concrete on every post. Was less work than disassembling and replacing the whole fence.

Owning your own business means spending time in the shop, money on repairs. Fortunately or unfortunately we had some of both and was able to help train the next generation. In the last month or two we have replaced Deck boards on trailer with 2” oak, Repaired a hydraulic jack leg( had it repack) , and replaced a set of tracks on the JD 331g. And let’s not forget 4 new tires on the dump trailer and replacing the u-bolts on one axle. Along with top roller on excavator tracks and the wire harness on the quick attach of the skid steer.

February 2025 is On The Level Excavation 15th Anniversary. In 2010 we started with one 6 year old truck and a new dump trailer to haul equipment and materials in. Over the years we added a few more used trucks and trailers. In 2017 we bought a new Gooseneck trailer (pictured). Late last year we purchased our first ever New Truck for the company. We are just now putting it into service with the 12-15 week wait to get the bed built and installed. This is our new billboard for the company! Thanks to Clark Truck body and Wrap it up Grafics and of course my wife Pam for making us look good while still playing in the mud!

Here is another driveway that we worked on this fall. Happy to receive this commendation text from the owners who live on the north side of Indy. This was the wife’s family property and their daughter actually live there now. Drive had some drainage issues that we were able to fix with graded and a ditch. Thanks also goes to Young Trucking as they deliver and spread stone.

In the industry it is common to bring these home sewer laterals up closer to the pad grade. This is so a smaller machine might be used in the finish connection to the homes. Unfortunately these were left 11-13 foot down and was not noticed until a few homes were well underway. Our crew is bringing them up so they can be hooked onto the homes.

On May 28 we started our biggest project of the year. 3000’ of 16” raw water line. And today in just under two months we tested all 3000’ at one time and it passed with flying colors. And 3000’ of conduit for fiber optic control.
So proud of the pipe crew Wyatt, Brent, Jason, Owen. The driveway crew Tom and Brent & Young Trucking for stone trucks. And the crew from Outdoor maintenance for the finish grade, seed and straw.
