The weekend is almost here!

In the meantime, the Wrecking Ball team has been busy on a variety of projects across the state.

Today’s post highlights a particularly unique project. At a modern high-rise, Wrecking Ball was brought in to perform interior demolition work as part of an upcoming lobby and atrium renovation. Along with removing walls, ceilings, and such, the project required the careful dismantling of a decorative fireplace and fountain while keeping the area accessible to tenants during business hours. Our team also had to protect expensive floor tile while moving large basalt rock features, preserve the interior structures of both installations, and safely remove thousands of pounds of debris through the building entrance and parking garage.

Cassie Hart, Wrecking Ball Project Manager, had this to say about the job: "This fireplace lobby renovation involved the safe removal of large, heavy basalt slabs and blocks while maintaining the integrity of the interior MEP systems—work that demanded detailed coordination, engineering review, and a strong commitment to safety. Thanks to excellent teamwork with our project partners, the scope was completed successfully with zero incidents."

As promised, here’s a sneak peek at the interior of our new home in the Smokey Point neighborhood of Marysville, Washington. This move represents a tremendous amount of hard work as we approach our 28th anniversary.

Throughout the office, you’ll find canvas artwork showcasing views of the beautiful Snohomish River from our previous location, along with highlights of unique projects we’ve completed and our team and equipment in action.

Wrecking Ball is wrapping up an interior demolition and concrete cutting job at a regional aquatic facility here in Washington. The job involved removing a spiral stairway leading up to a water slide.

This job came with some unique nuances, including developing and implementing a Dust Control Plan to contain particulates within the work area while the rest of the facility — including the main pool — remained open and operational.

In addition to public swimming, the facility serves as the home pool for local high school swim teams, club teams, Masters swimming, lessons, therapy programs, and adaptive aquatics.

This slideshow provides a brief visual timeline of the project, from the early stages to near completion.

Today, under bright sunshine, our new sign was installed outside our new headquarters on Smokey Point Boulevard.

For a bit of movie trivia—we promise this is not the size of the Stonehenge prop from the classic comedy This Is Spinal Tap. If you get the reference, go ahead and drop a comment below.

If you look closely, you’ll spot a UPS truck in the background to give you a sense of scale.

This move is one for the books. We’re getting close to being fully out of the Everett shop, and over the past several weeks—today included, with more days to come—we’ve had a steady crew of at least four team members moving, disassembling, and loading trucks, while another team has been hard at work unloading and reassembling at the new site.

One perk of being a demolition company during a move like this? Exceptionally skilled laborers.

There are a lot of moving parts, but everything is being orchestrated seamlessly by the Wrecking Ball team.
