I've been working hands-on in residential and commercial construction projects for over 30 years with two exceptions: Obtaining a degree in Physics from the University of Washington, and spending over five years in aerospace materials testing and manufacturing. Almost a complete carport rebuild. Water was getting through improper flashing, old surface materials at the post locations, underneath from improperly sealed siding materials, and just about everywhere else. We tore it all down, fixed the damage, reinstalled the old siding to save money, and carefully sealed all potential areas of water intrusion. We spruced it up with Crystalite aluminum and glass handrail and deck tiles to create a long lasting entertainment deck with a beautiful view. I’ve returned after heavy rains to make sure the interior is completely free of water. Another happy customer!
