Although it may look like something from the upside down, this is a Scutigera Coleoptrata, or House-Centipede for short. Many of you have probably had the displeasure of finding them in your home and wondering what planet they came from, but they are thought to have originated from the Mediterranean. They prey on and catch other insects by jumping on them and tangling them up like a lasso, but have also been found the use their multitude of legs to beat up other insects and then inject them with venom.
