Earlier this spring we got the opportunity to come help finish and clean up around this homes foundation. Part of this projected required cutting out the existing patio to install piers. Why do people sand their yard?

There are many advantages to top dressing or applying a layer of sand across your property. One of the primary reasons people ask to have their lawns sanded is to smooth out or level their lawns to make it safer and easier to maintain. The sand is used to fill in the low spots in the lawn. This allows you to be able to mow without scalping the lawn.

Another reason people sand their lawns is to help improve drainage throughout the lawn. The water is able to drain through the sand and move off site much faster preventing puddles from forming.

Top dressing also helps with compaction as the sand allows space for the roots to grow. It can also help with breaking down thatch layers, or organic debris, sitting on top of the soil preventing growth.

Are you be flooded during stormed from the water off your neighbors property? Foundations issues starting to arise because of water sitting around your house? Pre existing drains beginning to fail and not allow the water to completely drain away? We have you covered.

We took this project on when a couple giant Crape Myrtle trees a needed to be removed after the pre existing drains just couldn’t keep up. The drains had been clogged with roots from the trees and needed to be removed. We were able to come in and get the stumps and roots pulled out, removed the excess soil that was causing a dam for the water to be held back, re established a new flag stone walk way, installed a new and much larger catch basin to help catch storm rub off, and installed new French drain to carry the water safely off site. Now when it rains any storm water coming down into this property is drained away in minutes instead of days. Let us help you fix your drainage issues.

Maintaining a property can be a daunting task, particularly when it comes to ponds, which can quickly become overgrown with brush and willows in just a few years. The property owners hired a mulching contractor to clean up the pond, but the machine was unable to navigate the soft banks. We deployed an excavator to remove the unwanted brush and also used our mulcher to clear the understory of the surrounding forest, allowing the property owners to enjoy watching wildlife visit the pond.

We completely revitalized the landscaping, redefining the shape of the existing beds and introducing a vibrant new planting design. We also removed several large crape Myrtle stumps and added sand to low-lying areas to improve drainage and create a more even terrain.
