Please be kind, patient, and considerate to all of the linemen who have been working through the night to restore power. Even after the sun goes down, they are still out in the heat, battling thunderstorms, lightning, and heavy rain so that we can stay cool, safe, and comfortable. If you see them during the day sitting down and taking a break or drinking water, please take a moment to thank them and, if possible, offer them some shade or even a thank you. With heat indexes reaching 122 degrees, what may look like “resting” is often necessary recovery in extremely dangerous working conditions. It’s important to remember that they are pushing through exhausting, high-risk work to serve our communities, even when it may not be obvious from the outside. All while wearing hard hats, safety glasses, gloves, sleeves and heavy FR clothing. Their hard work often goes unnoticed, but they truly deserve our gratitude and respect. Thank you to every lineman working tirelessly to keep the lights on. We appreciate each and every one of you more than words can express. Please stay safe out there!

Today is National Lineman Appreciation Day though one day could never be enough to recognize the dedication of these incredible men. They are among the hardest-working, most selfless and generous people we know. They endure some of the harshest conditions through storms, long nights, and dangerous environments to show up for communities they’ve never met, restoring power and bringing comfort when it’s needed most.
They do it all with pride, skill, and genuine compassion. We are grateful today and every day for the sacrifices they make and the work they do. Our men at Cruse Power Line are like family and we are extremely proud of them!

Update 10:30 p.m. - Crews have managed to reduce outages from just under 400 to 20. Crews will continue to work until all power is restored.
Update 8:30 p.m. - Crews continue to work to restore power. They have managed to reduce outages from 1300 members being affected to just under 400. Crews will continue to work until all power is restored.
