Starting right now, from now on, if you book a job a few things are changing
1.) you have to be patient and allow us to finish other jobs first. We will no longer be putting clients in front of other clients to keep people happy or do it because it’s convenient for them. We will be working in order of booking. That means sometimes you might wait 3 days, other times depending on projects you might wait a couple of weeks as this is a one man crew and he needs a day off a week too.
2.) we will be requiring HALF of whatever your bill/estimate is before we start the job then the rest at completion.
3.) the prices are the prices. We’ve spent YEARS negotiating, accommodating and lowering prices to keep our clients happy and it’s continuing to bite us in the ass. what none of you know is that I (Shannon) work a full time job AND do Jesse’s billing, estimates , return calls and texts PLUS when I work with him, I donate my time. I do this all for no charge to the clients. So when I have to constantly redo numbers to someone else’s liking, it takes time away from my family and again, I don’t get paid.
4.) we are not a per hour company all the time- understand that the time is takes doesn’t always reflect the difficulty of the work. Some jobs were able to make a per hour rate work, others we will not.
5.) communicate with us, don’t ignore us when you owe us money… that’s sh*tty.
6.) lastly, Jesse’s STARTING hourly rate (when there is one) is $50/hr (with exceptions of smaller jobs). Any jobs that are a set rate, you will be given our STARTING rate as an estimate for said job. For example, a yard clean up is usually $250 plus $50 for every load of trees, weeds etc that we have to haul away and dispose of. However, if you have a huge yard or flowers beds, expect the rate to increase beyond the $250.
We set our prices according to other companies around us doing the same work. We always make sure we’re not the highest or the lowest, but comfortably in the middle. Pricing out our jobs has been years of research, advice, phone calls and conversations with other similar companies to find the right prices. As you all know with the way the world is, prices increase once in a while. We really try not to do that often, but sometimes it has to happen and we will always communicate that with the client.
Please be respectful of the fact that it’s just Jesse and myself running this business. We will only run it Monday-Friday. Any phone calls or texts will be returned after the weekend.
As always, thank you for choosing us!
