Recently, I had the privilege of refreshing a large portion of this office building, and saying I'm grateful for the chance would be a massive understatement! Working alongside the team here was an absolute blast!

​I painted a training room, a copy room, every single hallway wall, every ceiling, and exactly forty interior doors... but hey... who's counting? πŸ˜‰πŸ˜‚

Ah, the ceilingβ€”the "fifth wall" that usually gets stuck with the same flat white paint we’ve been using for decades.

​Don't get me wrong, I’m a fan of a clean, crisp white finish as much as anyone. It’s a classic for a reason. But every once in a while, you run into a room that has too much potential to just be left alone. Some spaces practically beg for a little more personality.

​This was definitely one of those cases.

​Why the ceiling deserves more love than it gets -

​Completing the Look: Treating the ceiling like an actual part of the design makes the whole room feel more intentional.

​Setting the Vibe: A bit of color or texture overhead can change the entire mood of a space in a way four walls alone can't.

​Breaking the Habit: We spend so much time on rugs and furniture; it seems a shame to ignore a massive canvas just because it’s "up there."

Think of it this way: a great room with a boring ceiling is like a tailored suit with unpolished shoes. It’s fine, but it’s not finished.

I won’t candy coat itβ€”this past year was challenging. It pushed me out of my comfort zone, tested my confidence at times, and taught me lessons I didn’t even know I needed. But it also reminded me why I fell in love with this work in the first place.

Every brushstroke, color choice, late night, and finished space meant more than you probably realize. Behind each project was growth, gratitude, and a whole lot of heart.

Thank you for trusting me with your homes, your ideas, and your imperfect-but-beautiful spaces. That trust is something I truly don’t take lightly, and it’s what keeps me showing up every day.
