Here in the South, it is most common to use pressure treated pine boards for fencing. We have made the switch to a much better quality lumber used in Kentucky; treated poplar boards. This lumber is authentic to the Kentucky style fence we provide. This lumber is more difficult to locate and we source it from up North. This is a better quality wood and will last much longer than pine. The poplar is a true 1” board that is rough cut and treated with a water born preservative that protects against decay and termites. This product is odorless and completely safe for live stock, especially those cribbing horses!
