A customer experienced water intrusion through their foundation, which our assessment revealed was due to the slope from the adjacent property and disconnected downspouts, resulting in excessive water accumulation near the residence. To rectify this issue, we installed a catch basin in the backyard and 60 feet of French drain, redirecting it to the front of the property. Upon completion, we applied topsoil and seeded the area, ensuring the customer's property is prepared for the spring.

We took this lot in Waterford from a unusable grass area to a new building site first we we brought into a gravel to build a driveway into the lot then we installed a catch basin at the street and ran 140 feet of 15 inch pipe at a 2% grade out to the road then we brought in 10 loads of fill dirt and two loads of topsoil and re-graded the whole area.

This photo shows the installation of a French drain system. A French drain is a trench filled with gravel or rock that contains a perforated pipe to redirect surface and groundwater away from a building's foundation.

Here is a breakdown of the key elements visible in the image:

* Trench: A long, narrow ditch has been dug along the side of the house, away from the foundation. The walls of the trench are visible dirt.
* Downspout: A white downspout from the roof's gutter system is directing rainwater into the trench.
* Perforated Pipe: A black, flexible, corrugated pipe with holes is laid at the bottom of the trench. This pipe collects water that seeps into the trench and carries it away.
* Gravel/Rock: The trench is partially filled with gray, angular gravel or rock. This material allows water to easily filter down to the perforated pipe.

The purpose of this system is to prevent water from pooling near the house, which can cause damage to the foundation, basement flooding, and other moisture-related problems.

It’s a little demo job we did yesterday. Customer called and asked if we could get rid of their one car garage so they could replace it with a shed the thing as it was full of furniture and miscellaneous and it was in a very tight location so we ordered a 20 yard dumpster filled that then brought in a 8 yard dumpster for the remaining material. The concrete pad had a stamp from 1954 on it and never had a crack in it amazing.

Despite the heat, it is worth noting that this will be our third pool filling this year. We initiate the process by demolishing the concrete surrounding the pool and stacking it in the deep end. Thereafter, we execute incremental lifts of fill dirt, progressively working our way up. Once completed, the area is treated with topsoil and hydroseed. This customer, however, elected to maintain the concrete surrounding the pool, as he envisions constructing a gazebo with pavers in the center.

Our summer has been incredibly busy, with little time for job postings. We're excited to showcase a new landscape design. The client asked us to revitalize their outdoor space with a modern design and plantings, and the results are outstanding.
