Here you can see gaps that were created along the top of a foundation wall when a 70 year old home was leveled. There were a lot gaps created behind the bottom edge of the siding. This gave rodents access into the crawl space. I screened off the gaps around the perimeter of the house and started trapping for rodents at the same visit.

I found the this large wolf spider in a warehouse. I usually find these outside. When the weather warms up you go outside, at night, and spot light spiders. Their eyes will reflect green and it makes it very easy to find them.

This is the tail end of a snake that was caught in a dryer exhaust fan. The dryer vent was only about 8 inches off the ground where it exited the exterior of the home. The vent did not have a cover and the snake found its way in. The dryer had been turned on while the snake was crawling through the fan and it caused the dryer to stop. This is a black rat snake. They are not venomous and are great for keeping rodent populations in check. They are good at climbing and very curious. The moral of the story, instal dryer vent covers that have cages. The cages come off easily for cleaning and it helps keep out snakes, rodents, and birds. This is an old wasp nest from last year. I removed several nests about this size from the house of a new customer. They had a bad wasp issue last year and wanted to be able to enjoy their pool this summer. Wasps will often return to areas where they have built nests in years prior. The cold weather can force rodents to seek shelter from the elements. Often they find their way into attic spaces. I took this picture earlier this year when I removed several nests and wasps from the eaves of a home that had experienced a lot of paper wasp activity. This was one of the smaller nests.
