Next up in our "Meet the Partners" series is our wonderful Vice President of Property Management, Mary Montalbano!

Mary began her property management career in 1986 with Grey Cliffe Properties, where she first met Tom. As they say, the rest is history! Their shared work ethic and vision quickly became the foundation of a lasting professional partnership and friendship. Since then, Mary and Tom have worked alongside each other at every property management company they’ve been a part of since, eventually launching The Tom Day Company together in 2009.

With over 35 years of industry experience, Mary brings incredible knowledge, steady leadership, and a true heart of service to our team. She takes great pride in seeing how far the company has come since those early days.

Outside of the office, Mary enjoys country music concerts and spending time with her family, her dog, and her sweet granddaughter. And most recently, she celebrated another exciting milestone by marrying her longtime partner and now wonderful husband, Mike! ❤️

As promised, we are going to be reintroducing our partners and the faces behind The Tom Day Company over the next few weeks! First up, our Founder and President, Tom Day!

Tom’s passion for construction began at an early age in his hometown of Two Rivers, Wisconsin. By 12, he was working alongside his father pouring concrete, an experience that sparked a lifelong love of the industry. What started as small projects quickly grew into larger responsibilities, laying the literal and figurative foundation for his future career. To this day, Tom still considers a well-executed concrete pour one of the most rewarding parts of the job.

Tom later relocated to North Texas, where he met his wonderful wife, Brooke. While building and managing apartment communities, he developed a vision for a company that would combine his expertise in general contracting and property management alongside his partner, Mary. On April 1, 2009, that vision became reality with the founding of The Tom Day Company.

Under Tom’s leadership, The Tom Day Company has grown alongside his family. He is a proud father of three and a proud grandfather to two (soon to be three!) grandchildren. His son, Siler, now serves as Vice President, continuing a three-generation legacy in construction.

Outside of work, Tom enjoys spending time with his family at the lake, cheering on the Green Bay Packers, and exploring local restaurants.

We are grateful for Tom, his vision and leadership, and the passion he brings to our company and every project he is apart of!

El Chingon Dallas is officially complete and open, and what an incredible project and partnership it has been!

This 9,000 square foot ground-up restaurant was designed to be both functional and full of bold, creative details. From fully custom doors and imported decor to specialty lighting and sound, every element of the space was thoughtfully designed to create an atmosphere full of character, energy, and life.

We’re proud to have been part of bringing this one to life and can’t wait to see El Chingon Dallas continue to thrive!

We are incredibly grateful for the opportunity to live, work, and build in this country. We never take for granted the freedoms and opportunities we enjoy every day, and we are thankful for the brave men and women who have served and continue to serve to protect them.
