Feature Friday | Plaster Day

One of the most exciting milestones on any custom pool project is Plaster Day—the moment years of enjoyment begin to take shape.

This backyard retreat, built in 2017 for a local family, was designed around their love of basketball. Inspired by the shape of a basketball court key, this custom sport pool features a swim-up bar, raised spillover spa, custom slide, ledge lounge, Pro-Dunk basketball system, and hand-installed tile mosaics throughout.

For the interior finish, we installed a custom blended gray integral plaster enhanced with blue and black quartz aggregates, creating a finish that delivers exceptional durability, longevity, and beautiful water color for years to come.

At just 5½ feet deep in the center, the design maximizes usable swim space while creating the perfect setting for family fun and entertaining.

Six years ago, we transformed this aging concrete pool into something completely new.

When we first arrived, the pool was surrounded by failing concrete, dated finishes, and a lot of deferred maintenance. The homeowners had a vision for something more inviting, more functional, and built to last.

Over the course of the project, we removed the old pool finishes and deck, installed custom decorative coping, created hand-colored finishes, added stamped concrete throughout the space, incorporated custom gecko details, and gave the pool a completely new interior finish.

Looking back through these photos, I'm reminded of how much craftsmanship went into every stage of the process. From shaping and installing the new coping to hand-applying color and finishing details, this project was built one step at a time.

What makes these photos even more special is that this remodel was completed six years ago. Great work isn't just about how it looks on completion day—it's about how it holds up over time.

It's always fun to look back on projects like this and see what we created, and how well it's stood the test of time.

Today marks an exciting milestone for our team as we received and unloaded our first official shipment of Marquis® Spas.

What may look like a truckload of hot tubs represents months of planning, preparation, and a commitment to bringing one of the industry's most respected spa brands to our customers. Seeing that first delivery arrive was a proud moment for everyone involved.

A huge thank you to our crew for making the unloading process look easy (even when it isn't) and to Marquis Spas for the opportunity to represent a product known for its quality, innovation, and craftsmanship.

NEW PROJECT | NEWBERG, OREGON

This week we completed excavation for a new custom outdoor living project.

Excavation is where the vision begins to take shape. Every grade, elevation, and structural element is carefully established during this phase, laying the foundation for everything that follows.

We've been planning this project for several years. The original design featured a beautiful freeform pool and spa, but after much consideration, our clients decided to incorporate an automatic safety cover. That decision led to a more refined design that balances simplicity, functionality, and elegance.

This project will feature:

• 20' x 42' Custom Shotcrete Pool
• Encapsulated Automatic Safety Cover
• 8' Attached Spillover Spa
• Handbuilt Rock Grotto & Waterfall Feature
• Custom Fire Pit
• 2,500 SF of Custom Concrete

Making big moves behind the scenes ✨️

For years, this building was mostly used for storage. Now, it’s an integral part of our future.

Yesterday we gave the exterior a much-needed refresh, and seeing the transformation has been incredibly exciting. It’s amazing what vision, hard work, and the right people can do for a space.
