Fork Mountain Surveying & Mapping President & Owner, John D. Lewis, has been a Licensed Land Surveyor in the State of Virginia since 1979 and has more than 40 years experience in Land Surveying, Land Development, and Construction Management. He spent nearly 20 years in Northern VA as a Chief Land Surveyor and Construction Manager for Mobil Oil Company (retired in 1996) and Terrabrook Land Developm

ent. During his time in Northern VA, he oversaw the field construction and managed the contract surveyors on two successful planned communities: Reston, 7,500 Acres, and Broadlands, 1,500 Acres. He moved to Floyd County in 2001 and opened Fork Mountain Surveying & Mapping, Inc. with his wife of 46 years in 2002.
