I had to glue the veneer, on the top board. Once that was done I scraped what finish I could off, then used stripper. After I used acetone to clean it up then hand sanded. That finish was on really good but needed to be finished. 😳 I also cleaned up the back and added a coat of wax. Now to work on the door and shelves and it will be done!

This antique dark-wood china cabinet or display hutch, dates around the 1920s–1940s. featuring a central glass door with shelving, decorative cross-shaped on the front, and raised turned legs with casters.

I was hoping to save the designs on the front but they were made from plaster and brittle. I will be adding wood ones. I took off the top and glued the loss joints. Keep following along to see what happens next!

It’s a hot one today!! Hope everyone this having a great Thursday!!

A lot was done today. Jumping between the two night stands and dresser. The stands were clear coated and buffed. Doors were put on and they are all done. The drawers to the dresser are all stained and clear coated now ready for hardware.

I did some touch up paint on the night stands. Next clear coat. I sand most of the dresser. Just need to do the very bottom which I will do when I lay it on its back.
Dresser was taped off and first coats of paint was done.

Working on the little end tables. Adding some gold paint to make those details pop! Next will be finish coat and hardware.
