Hey!! You may not have heard but today is officially HUG a plumber day. Unfortunately my homeowner left me hanging after installing a new tankless water heater…I mean how could you not be ecstatic about endless hot water and cash rebates from the utility company?!?

"I am so pleased with their work and their honesty.
Being a homeowner, you are faced with many challenges, and this was no exceptions. The latest being a leaky drain pipe from the kitchen sink. It was dripping down the wall in the basement. I called Wilbur plumbing and heating, and another plumbing company for an estimate. The first company came out on a Friday afternoon. They looked at the leaking pipe and said they would have to cut into the bathroom wall including removing the ceramic tiles to get to the leaking pipe. On Monday morning Josh Wilbur came out to look at the situation. He took his time observing and measuring carefully as to where the leak should be. Afterwards Josh said that he would not need to go through the wall and demo the tiles, but would be able to temporarily remove the cabinet to gain access to the pipe behind it. He gave me an upfront estimate, including a worst case scenario not to exceed. I waited till I received the quote from the other plumbing company and I was shocked at the price they wanted. They would include repair to the wall afterwards, but I was left to try to hunt down tile to replace the broken tile that dated back to the late 60’s or early 70’s, and to purchase a large quantity, which would have been very pricey and cumbersome. After looking at the estimate, and remembering Josh said he would not go through the wall and tile, I then called Wilbur Plumping and was able to speak with Josh. Again, he assured me that it was not necessary to cut into the wall. I had the appointment made. This morning Josh and his partner came out and repaired the leak. Josh was correct with his measurements. He was able to remove the cabinet and replace the old, corroded copper pipe with new plastic pipe.
Thank God I chose to go with Wilbur Plumbing and Heating, and the price was reasonable. I have a new plumber I can rely on. "
