With warmer temperatures comes new grass and spring flowers🌸. Now is the perfect time to check your outdoor plumbing.
Make sure all of the spigots/hose bibbs are in the off position before you turn your shut off valves to the "on" position (if you had turned them off in the fall).
Make sure you look for signs of leaks around the pipes, ceilings, walls, etc.
Go outside and turn the faucets to the on position and look for signs of leaks beneath the hose bibb or along the wall.
After you turn the faucet off, wait a few seconds and if you see any leaks or drips, you may just need a washer, or you could need your hose bibb replaced.
Do not install your hose until your water has been turned on and you are sure your hose bibb is in good condition.
If you need service for your hose bibb, give McGinty Plumbing a call at 609-451-8850 to schedule your service.
