Making progress ripped out 2 loads of sand and sod. Brought in 5 yards for the first ground compaction and proper grading. BUT I think we are going to be going even bigger. I think the patio cover and hot tub is being moved and we are going for a 22x70. Stops the project for a minute. But when you got great homeowners it’s not a bother at all.

We got this beauty all wrapped up. Now pressure wash and strip forms. Soft cut the patio and let the curing process begin. Come back in 3-4 weeks, muratic wash and seal. It’s gonna be pretty amazing when it’s sealed. Super excited. Pours like this is our specialty and these pours are why we love our trade.

Sometimes projects throw hurdles and the kitchen sink at you, trying to get everything done . But you adapt and overcome the challenges.

First was scheduling everyone I needed for this specific pour was a challenge.

My laborers where a no call no show for dirtwork and set up.

Fires being so close to the project we were on fire watch past 24 hours with batch plant finishers and pump and homeowners waiting to the last moment for a go or no go on the pour.

Finally we got to pour day and it was a beautiful morning everyone was early and happy then this shows up and that’s not even close to the color we ordered or where expecting. But I did find the most expensive 6 yards in the world at $2400 and 4 yards at $16-1800. Wich made it the most expensive concrete ever for 10 yards.

Stone grey is what we were shooting for not black. Idk where the misunderstanding happened because I took the color chart in with me when I ordered it to confirm the color was available in liquid intergral and I got black. Well it’s time to shrug it off and reschedule. Quitters never win winners never quit 🙌
