Before anyone sprays inside your home, look for these four things:

1. COMPLETE SURFACE PROTECTION

Floors, windows, fixtures, outlets and every adjacent surface should be completely covered!

2. A CONTAINED WORK AREA

The spray area should be isolated from the rest of the home. Once a coating is atomized, it can travel well beyond the surface being sprayed if openings aren’t properly sealed.

3. CONTROLLED VENTILATION

Air should be intentionally directed out of the work area through a HEPA filter. This helps control airborne overspray and prevents it from moving into the rest of the home.

4. PROPER SURFACE PREPARATION

Before primer, the millwork is repaired, filled, caulked, sanded and cleaned. The first primer coat creates a uniform inspection surface, making remaining imperfections easier to identify and correct before the finish coats are applied.

Primer is one of several quality-control steps in the process.

Professional spray application can produce a level of consistency that brushing and rolling cannot—but the sprayer is only one part of the system.

If someone is quoting sprayed millwork, ask them to explain their preparation, containment and ventilation process—not just which product they plan to use.

The final result gets the attention.

The work underneath it is what makes it possible.

Considering a fine-finish project? Send us a few photos and we’ll tell you whether spraying in place is the right approach.

The shed got one last change before we called this project finished.

It was originally trimmed in white to carry the look of the house through the property. Once everything came together, the homeowners decided to take it in a different direction — Sherwin-Williams Greenblack.

And it completely changed the shed.

The dark trim gives the cedar a much stronger frame and pulls in the doors and dormer.

Shout out again to Janiczek Homes and Formwork Architects for bringing this dream backyard to life!

A wonderful ending to an incredible project!

What if the kitchen you want is already sitting in front of you?

That was pretty much the case here.

These cabinets didn’t need to be ripped out. They were solid, the layout worked and there was nothing wrong with the kitchen besides one pretty important thing:

The homeowners didn’t like how it looked anymore.

So instead of replacing perfectly good cabinetry, we showed them what we could do with what they already had.

We mocked up the new kitchen first — white uppers, deep blue lowers — and gave them a chance to actually see the direction before we started.

Then we made it real.

A lot of homeowners looking into cabinet painting on the Main Line are really trying to solve the same problem: they want a completely different kitchen without paying to completely replace one.

That’s where cabinet refinishing makes sense.

But there’s a difference between painting cabinets and properly refinishing them.

We remove the doors and drawer fronts, clean and degrease everything, sand the existing finish, properly prime the surfaces and spray a cabinet-grade coating designed to handle the kind of use kitchen cabinets actually get.

It’s not about making an old kitchen look freshly painted.

It’s about making the room feel completely different.

And if your existing cabinets are well built and you already like the layout, replacing all of them just to change the color can be a hell of an expensive way to get there.

Sometimes you really do need a new kitchen.

Sometimes you just need to see what the one you already have could become.

Swipe through the mockup → before → reality and see how close we got.

If you’re considering kitchen cabinet refinishing on the Main Line, in Media PA or around Philadelphia’s suburbs, send us a few photos of your kitchen. We can tell you pretty quickly whether refinishing makes sense or whether replacement is actually the better move.

Some people paint cabinets.

We refinish them.

Wow, this one came out beautifully!

We wrapped up our part of this backyard addition in Wayne last Friday, including the stained wood ceiling, painted porch structure, shed trim package, and exterior cleaning.

Our friends at Janiczek Homes absolutely nailed the design and managing of this project. The cedar, stone, natural wood, and crisp white finishes all came together perfectly.

Proud to do our part on this one!

A little update from the project in Wayne.

Shed trim got primed.

Carpenters installed those beautiful planks we previously stained.

And the project continues.

Always wonderful to be able to work alongside some of the Main Line’s best craftsmen!

Every room in this home has its own personality.

Deep navy. Warm terracotta. Rich earth tones. Crisp whites.

Different colors. Different moods. One cohesive home.

The right paint colors do more than change the look of a room—they influence how a space feels, functions, and flows with the rest of the home.

In this project, each room was designed with its own purpose in mind while still creating a home that feels connected from one space to the next.

That’s the power of thoughtful color selection.
